I own Several Ka-Bars. Most of them are Mk.2's, but every single one of them has weapons black on the blade. I have a Ka-Bar from World War II that has never even been taken out of the issuing wrapper, and it has weapons black. I have a brother in the military, and HIS Ka-Bar has weapons black on it. I think it would be WAY more realistic if the knife model had weapons black on it. If you need a picture of it for a skin, I can give it to you, but put the weapons black on the knife please.

Contact me at wyvern_303@juno.com or ICQ me at 70354919. You will need my authorization to ICQ me, so just email me unless you need more info on weapons black or what a ka-bar actually looks like with it on.

Have to agree to this one.
AFAIK the Ka-Bar comes in black, so it should also be black in INF, right?

Yep.

The wepons black is on the blade to keep it from reflecting light or gleaming in the darkness. You don't want your big, shiny combat knife gleaming in any available light when you are trying to stealthily kill someone.
Also, That First post of mine made me look kind of like a jerk, so I would like to apologise for that. I'm really not. Honest! I just thought the weapons black would be more realistic...

thanks-

thanks for the input on that- we do strive for realism, and I will take it seriously.. however AFAIK they don't come in just black.. here's an example that's not necessarily a shiny silver either.. which is what we textured it off of.

That is interesting.

What model is that k-bar? I can get you a picture of a mark II of mine, the rest are in a box. Also, you can check ebay, they have a load of those on there. Also, was that k-bar just issued, or was it around for a bit. If it was around for a bit then a civilian could have taken it off.
If I am wrong then sorry, but all of the k-bars I have seen in the possesion of other collectors and at conventions have it on them. Mine also have it, so it just seems that that is the way they came, or eall of the soldiers who had them put it on. Even if that is the case, then it would make sense to put it on in Infiltration, because it would seem that the soldiers who were issued and used them in combat would know best. If you need it I can get you photographs and the like of several.

I don't know about anyone else, but having a black INF knife doeesn't seem like a bad idea at all, after all, every single other game and mod has knives, and they're all shiny chrome type things, a black knife makes sense asthetically and realism-wise.
