Just a couple questions.

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

But I have a couple questions, that I hope you don't mind answering:

Firstly, how do I use breaching chargers? Do I just place them on a mover and wait? I couldn't figure it out :D

Next, I tried to use the M4 grenades, and tried a one of those 90,000 candle power grenade thingies, but it didn't get added to my inventory or grenade selection.

Finally, I was wondering how I add the mounted machine gun (the Browning) to a map in Unreal Ed (I can add regular weapons ;))

Just hit the use/activate key [like you do for the claymores] for 5s to arm them, they'll then blow after a short delay. Getting to safe distance is a good idea within this duration, since being too close will be detrimental to health.

The illumnation rounds are by default only allowed on maps, where they're known to work - they tend to cause crashes on some maps. You can edit the map list in the appropriate ini-file; IIRC in the same ini file there's a bit to allow them on all maps (or was it disallow?), if you feel lucky.

Jeez, it's been ages since I last did that [I slaved 4 M2s to one trigger back in my 2.75 offline only days :D]. IIRC you simply add the M2 as an actor, then have to add a trigger to be able to use it on the map - but I'm pretty sure someone else might be able to explain that in more detail. You could take a look at an existing map with M2 (e.g. Peru) to see how it's done though, if you feel like fireing up UnrealEd and wasting a few minutes.

Oh, BTW get your lazy ass online!

Same with para rounds, I got them in my inventory, and there quite fun :p

I will mess around M2 on Peru and try it out once I get back of holiday :( (I hate the caravan haha)

As for online play, I tried to get on the COOP servers and I couldn't! I forgot what error came up, but I'll see if I can fix it up sometime.

My wild guess would be something like "INF_Core Version Mismatch" if you don't have PsyTex installed? If so grab PsyTex and put it on - there should be a download link somwhere in the forums. Be advised that installation can be tricky under Vista though (if you're on XP or Linux you should have it easier).

If it's something else just post it here.

Just installing psytex now... but I'm drunk (illegally haha) so I'm sure I'll knack it up somehow. But I will get online, it sucks playing by myself :p
