Wow, that's a really great deterrent. I could be a hero, or I could have my gun away from me and being charged for 'endangerment of those around me' for directly causing many deaths and woundings.

Exactly how many people do you think are going to consider the consequences of their idiocy before they wave their big stwong gun around anyway?

I thought that essay was very well thought-out/written DangerDude.

I say, it's been time-proven that PROHIBITION of any kind doesn't work.
It just does not work. It looks nice on paper, and it sounds good to the ear (to mine as well) but the reality doesn't change.

Educating minds and changing hearts is really the only the thing that works in this world.

(I think I threw in another penny or two there...)

If you're comparing gun control to the Prohibition on alcohol, there's a big difference. People need alcohol far more than they need guns.
