There is 1st person view where you see from the character's eyes and 3rd person view where you see from a different camera (normally behind the character), however I never heard of a 2nd person view :con: . Is there really a 2nd person view of any sort?

BTW, please don't rip me to pieces for this question :shy: .

ive never heard of one before. but i know that in books, stories, etc., there is first person, and 3 forms of 3rd person. no second. so i dont think that there really is one.

2nd person would be games like Resident Evil, for example.

2nd person could be a view from your enemies perspective ... in fact, that could be pretty cool. :D

    1st person=own perspective
    2nd person=other person's perspective
    3rd person=invisible observer/storyteller's perspective

As you can figure out, 2nd person perspective would be really hard to do in games, because ifthe other person look away, you can't see what you're doing, while both you and your 'invisible cameraman' (3rd person) always follows you and has his attention to you.

    That's 3rd person btw...

Anyone who's learnt a language knows that when you conjugate a verb it goes liek this:

    1st: I
    2nd: you
    3rd: He/she/it

Then you have the plural of these, i.e. we, you (plural), and they.

You know, there is one angle in games I really hate - static 3rd person. The camera doesn't move, but you can watch yourself move from that "standing still" perspective. Very odd.

Yep, they're right. Second person would be from the perspective of someone interacting directly with you.

    First Person: Your Perspective
Second Person: Person you're interacting with's perspective
Third Person: Perspective of another, uninvolved party.

I've seen short stories written in 2nd person "When you came home that day, you had no idea...." etc etc.
