I think with Inf 2.85 the models now surpass those of CS, meaning Inf now has an advantage over CS in every department.

Does it ever rain in Seattle?

I agree with Rogue Leader, the models rock (In my mind), plus the online code is addictive. But if you like cheating, rude and immature people then CS is the best!

This community is mature and well rounded which I think makes the game that much better.

Yeah I know what you mean, in a CS public server you can't really trust someone who you don't know to cover your back, but in INF its very common.

I seriously can't get over these models. here is a screenshot from my review of Inf that shows a really cool pose.

I seriously can't get over how good these models are. When I was done writing my review I found myself staring at the models in my pics for over a minute just admiring them.

Dangerous statement, but he takes an understandable stance. CS has a huge fanbase because although it is not "realistic," quite a few people still find it fun to play. For the most part its bugs have been squashed, and it does have mission objectives(although they are a last resort when you can't kill all the bad guys). The thing is, since the gameplay styles are so different, you can't really compare them that well. You want a fairly complete product with real-world(although poorly represented) guns but a forgiving damage model? Go for CS. You want the most realistic game around? Go for Inf. It's all about personal preference in the area of gameplay style.

[EDIT]Oh yeah, Eyes Only, we're gonna ream your freedom.[/EDIT]

If it's stupid, but works, it isn't stupid.

well i must say at least CS has some goals (everyby ignores them but at least they are there)

    :D

let's wait for the goals then inf will completely blow away any competition.

    IMHO

In CS, you're more the Rambo-type and in INF, you're kinda like Pvt. Pyle (that skis along, no less ;). They are not the same game in just about every dept, but based on fun and appearance, I can make these statements:

NOTE: It's not quite fair to judge INF in it's current state based on the various bugs and unfinished plans.

    > the players/bots move too slow in INF (I know you can press the run key, but IMO, walking/ sneaking at their current rate is not realistic)

    > I must have missed something cause I can't find the aim key now - to line the gun sights up I mean. Playing without it just plain sucks as you can imagine. I'm sure I am missing something.

    > The CS maps of course rock. Part of it is the lighting. The daytime sun and shadows look fantastic in CS. Unreal's variation is not as nice based on any of the maps I've played.

The other aspects of CS maps is they are well thought out as far as layout and balance, while most INF maps are not. Plus CS are cool in appearance - thank God for crates.

    > Weapon models & sounds in CS also take first prize for enjoyment, though realism is sacrificed, for which INF takes the candle (still the weapons in INF are not great looking).

    > Voices are also on CS side (ATM)

    > Overall fun factor, well, CS again (ATM), since it's quite polished and accessibility is all there - being Rambo is often more pleasant than Pvt Pyle too.

INF could be more fun, once the aforemention issues are addressed.

Don't get me wrong, I like INF and will still play INF, but it will not put CS to the back seat right now.

well some tac ops maps are decent and i wouldn't mind playing inf on some of them. Ofcourse inf maps have an overal better lay out and texture work.

Keek had a utility that would allow you to play TO and SF maps. I don't know if it works with 2.85 though.

I for one always try to complete our "objective" in CS and to be honest I do most of the time....while others are fighting it out Im the guy who is actually winning for us lol....I play CS very cunningly...using stealth among others,...and not to be mean but I can actually play CS with little or no lag
