Thanks. That was a great interview. I love the detail they gave to 2.87 as well. Very nice.

    read the comments section

"inf is a cs clone"

I played CS the other day, they cant even model the FN p90 right. Cs does move at a slower pace then TO though.

That was a great interview I thought, and most of the comments were quite complimentary. The one from LepraKip was a bit of a shock though...I always considered him one of our better regulars, and thought he liked INF. Oh well, you can't please everyone I guess.

Yay ! :) Sounds pretty good.
I wonder if that 'escort'-style gametype has anything to do with the 'engineer'-reference I found in the 2.86-code ... ;)

Yes, that engineer thing looks quite interesting... lets see how it plays.
And I am quite surprised with Lepra myself.

Ok this guy is officialy a retard!
They act like they are the supreme mod team, They are the supreme mod team :p .

Their weapon models are very poor and so are the skins, Sounds like this guy is blind too  .

the Start-up screen (the selection menus and stuff) are hard to read at any resolution, no...thats be cause you can't read kid.

and the textures are blurry, Oh yes i can see how blurry and crap the skins are now  http://www.planetunreal.com/infiltration/images/screenshots/shot0003.jpg .

What's wrong with me!!! I've been here only 2 weeks and I'm already reading the comments section at the bottom of a linked sight.

All I can say, longtime fans, is I don't pay much attention to a few crybabies. I'm new to the game -- I love it. But different strokes for different folks, right? A week ago, I was at a LAN party with ten other guys who'd never heard of Infiltration. I convinced them to give it a try, and what d'ya know -- 8 loved it and didn't want to play anything else (the other 2 UT fanboys didn't understand why they couldn't fly around, guns ablaze, and expect to win  ). Anyways me thinks an 80% success rate ain't too shabby.

The real enemy is ignorance -- not enough people REALLY know about this game!!

Kip did have a few points...

the Start-up screen (the selection menus and stuff) are hard to read at any resolution,

    - Any resolution short of 1024x768, which looks just fine. Anything below that, however, and the menu really does look like crap (various menu elements superimposed on one another, button names completely pixellated and illegible, etc.)

    and the textures are blurry,

    - They're blurry on my machine too... but when you realise that I have everything set to Low Detail so I could run INF at 1024x768 with 3D and surround sound at a frame rate higher than 10fps (not a problem with the INF coding, UT runs even slower at certain parts)... makes you wonder what kind of computer Kip has...

I have to admit I'm one of those guys who downloaded INF expecting something "like CS or SF" and promptly uninstalled it when I realised otherwise... the second time I installed INF after losing my "acquired" copy of HL (and hence CS) after a hard drive reformat I finally learned

    a) to play online

    b) that you do NOT need to aim the sights slightly higher than they actually point because the barrel is below them

    and

    c) INF is a game designed for CAMPERS :D

So I myself would hesitate slightly (but only slightly :p) when condemning the general stupidity of the vast, wretched hordes of the CS N00bz...

On another note, I believe when people complain about the INF weapon skins most of the time they're just not used to all the empty space where any other game/mod would have some chrome/grit/inlaid work effects to make the weapon more interesting to look at...

The machine gun in CS has an effective range of 1.5 metres. No more, no less.

at least they act like a TEAM and not like a lone producer as happens in another mod ...

Sounds like he's a modeller that thinks he can do better but is too lazy to offer something constructive ...

At a resolution below 1024x768 it is difficult to use, and yes even at that resolution it isn't that good.
But check the newspage and you'll see the team has a new & improved menu planned in the next release ...

yep, UT & your local detailsettings are probably responsible for this. The skins themselves are quite good, they just look like 'crap' on low-detail/16-bit color-settings.

I really don't think the comment was written by the real LepraKip we all know.

    Imposter?

It could be leprakip. Does anyone know how he played last version? I don't personally remember, but maybe he was an instaproning-nadewhoring-camping shottie whore bug exploiter!;)

Seriously, people on that board probably haven't given INF a chance. When I got UT, I was a little down about how you would go online & get shot by someone 50 ft in the air / no gravity with a fu(king rocket launcher. These people always tended to poke fun at my lack of skills as well. When I played INF, people gave me tips on how to get better & it worked. I'm sure if I played UT again, I'd get my ass wiped, but I can hold my own in an INF match.

Thank you INF crew. You guys are rokken like dokken! <sp?>

That is weird, I've never heard kip say something like that about INF before. As for that last comment about him, the words hit, nail and head come to mind ;)
