Instagib CTF setup?

    Hello,

    I spoke to shov3l abiut having long mutator string problem on my server and he suggested using utvote to handle the mutators. My question is this. No matter what I do I am loading up CTF in full weapons. I am trying to get Instagib. I have loaded the mutators in Gametype ctf and instagib. They are in packages like this. I don't want people to be able to vote the mutes off or add any on this game type.

    Ok firstly you are already loading up the standard default InstaGib game:
    GameType=(GameName="InstaGib CTF".............

    That is a UT2004 default Instagib game and cannot handle a second Instagib Mutator.

    You are wanting to run XxxXESRv2i.MutInstaGib so hence you cannot use the default UT2004 built in game: XGame.InstagibCTF

    Therefore you have to use the default Full CTF game: XGame.xCTFGame, but add your mutators there which it seems you have already done.
    If you want the default Instagib, remove your XxxXESRv2i.MutInstaGib and replace it with XGame.MutInstaGib
    The other option is to use GameMake3 and create your own personal CTF InstaGib Game.

    Thanks for reply. I am hoping I can get around the long start up string problems :) I got the xxxxinstagib rifle working. How do I set up air control? I didn't see that in readme. I see how to do the gamespeed but in xadmin it is all set up there. Here is sort of what I am looking to do. Now there are a few mutators missing because they crash the server.

    Anything else placed on that line UT2Vote will just dump it.
    With UT2Vote you set the GameSpeed in the GameType ?GameSpeed=1.50 - Do Not use the UnrealGame.MutGameSpeed.
    In the UT2Vote51.ini file:

    Remember whatever Mut you add in the ServerMuts= will execute on every Gametype, whereas the one in the Mutators= in the Gametype will only be for that Gametype.
    Also be carefull not to duplicate them in both places as the chances are your server will crash.

    I'm sorry maybe I explained it wrong. The string I posted was the current runserver.bat file. I understand that utvote51 is the only mutator to be used in new runserver.bat. I was just trying to explain where I was heading with it ;) Anyways I am only putting muts in CTF gametype so nothing in servermuts yet. I also removed the instagib and am using xxxxinstagib rifle... It just shoots really fast :) Can you tell me where to adjust air control settings? I can't seem to find that.

    According to the code there is a default Mutator in UT2004 that does the AirControl.
    This Mut is called UnrealGame.MutMovementModifier
    So you add the Mutator then in your UT2004.ini

    Dont ask me what the MegaSpeed is but it is there :)

    Cool Thanks, So does that mean all the gametypes will be be affected by it since that is in ut2004.ini file? I seem to be getting everything worked out so far no crashes :)

    If you add this mut to the ServerMuts= then yes, all games will be effected.
    To add it to selected games add it to the individual GameTypes= in the Mutator section.

    I still am having one mutator crashing the server. Olstats 3.01 seems to crash server eveytime I install it :( Any experience with this.

    By the way you can see the new server at 207.210.70.170 if you wish


    Thanks for help this olstats crashing in long command line was what brought me to ut2vote in the first place :(
