    geogob, whats with that SA80.. i cant believe you actualy coded all that **** alone... unless its for WP1.8

    and , your not allowed to play, talk, discuss, exept if its to give info or release Weapon packs.. :p

    Don, you can forget seeing the SA80 in game soon. Probably for this summer. But definately not in WP 1.5.

    And not, I,m not doing all this **** alone Don. This community is very ressourceful and quite a few people are helping me out. This is the work of a team... just look at the credits. You know, Don, RTFM ;)

    Hmm, what could it be? :rolleyes: Guess it is the SA80 type "weapons arsenal" thing, that I always was "wishing".
    /edit: Well, not. Ok, I'm curious. I hate it to wait and I hate surprizes [​IMG].


    It is rather a modelling issue I think. Coding wise all these SA80 versions can have the exact same animations, so it is just about how many variations the modeller makes and the coder implements all the attachments and classes.

    For all variants, there will be like 1 set of animation and 1 partial set for the Prone LSW. After talking with Tiffy, I will drop the Mini variant that doesn't really exist. That one full set of animation less to do.

    Codewise, I only have to code the weapon once with minor changes for barrel lenghts on ballistics and for the prone LSW animations.

    But doing these won't require much more work then doing any single weapon. That,s the nice thing about doing a weapon family!

    EDIT: but I'm saying this again, as the dealine for WP 1.5 approches, right now I'M 100% working on fixing bug, breaking things, refixing them and tweakin "stuff".

    Gosh, I just relised by now that the OICW drops the scope if you jog, but keeps if you walk... even quick moving crouched drops the aim (what usually happens while using sniper rifles)! But other scoped weapons (i.e. guns with ACOG) only unnaim if you sprint... Is it a balacing issue (due to OICW ajsutable scope, that ranges to 6x magnifing and zeroing system) or a realistic measure (its unpractical to jog with such a massive weapon such as OICW)??? And I´m curious to see the realistically improved zeroing system for OICW in the WP 1.5...

    Geo, But the real question is: the VVS will behave as a scoped rifle (aim will drop if you sprint) or as a sniper/bulky rifle (aim will drop if you even jog)???(And will feature full auto firemode) 8?

    Well if the SA80 family isn't the little remaining surprise, maybe its a Steyr AUG family instead? :D

    We could all use one of those! :lol:

    edit: my bad, the surprise is something russian isn't it? I thought i read it somewhere...

    I really hope we can use the m14 without a scope and as a rifle. the sniper version of this rifle is the m21 anyways :p

    But WE CAN USE ALREADY the M14 without scope, Prowler... my question about the behavior was exactly about it: the VVS without scope (iron sights only) will behave as a average rifle and with scope it will behave as a sniper rifle (dropping the aim if you jog) or as a Scoped (ACOG) rifle, that only drops the aim if you sprint???

    Or the VVS won´t be available with iron sights only??? 8?

    lol prowler. I see you didn't play much with the lastest weapon packs. The M14 always had an Iron sight version :p

    For the VSS, I won't answer because it's a surprise... something totally new. 'nuf said.
