Ok first of all u guys MUST read the unreality messige bord.(www.unreality.dk)
There are allot of things going on there..about your mod! No it is not good things http://www.unreality.org/ubb/Forum4/HTML/000782.html
read all about it there!!!!!!
Ok now to what i think should make your mod the greatest and the best!
First of all u guys MUST play counter-strike
for Half-Life.
The players and the bots should move like hmm......counter strike! U know..something like ranbow six or something not like UT just RUNING around and hold an M16 whit two fingers..more realistic!
Then u should add more weapons.
There should be an infiltration team and a Terrorist team. Then a new game type! something like rescue hostiges or something.
Im not tellin`u guys to "copy" the counter-strike mod but some thing like that. I would be greatful if u could do that!

PS. Youre mod IS the best for UT right now but, it could be better..ohh..yeah..and the AI should be more inteligent.DS.
thanx.....

Well, to be honest, we don't give a shit about people that don't play INF. We concentrate on those who actually like it.

More weapons? Go to the armory page. You can find it on the INF-homepage.

And I've played CS. They've been working on their project longer than us. We still use the original Unreal Tournament models YET. Perfect movement is impossible with them.

For an exact list of what's to come in the future, I suggest you check out the Roadmap. (also accessable from the homepage)

If you want to play a mod like CS, then just play CS. That's simple enough.

It seems that most of them were complaining about INF slowing down their system or something. I experienced this too, but I thought it was the map, because it didn't happen with all maps. It didn't really affect my gameplay much however. People like to bitch. They'll probably be singin a different tune when 3.0 comes out.

Welp, I've got nothing to do. How about rambling a bit? Yeah, that sounds good...

Omega, somehing you have to realise: You'll never please everyone. While I understand your point about wanting to appeal to those who aren't already interested in the mod, look at this board. There's a pretty good fanbase already, enough that the Inf team's primary concern doesn't have to be attracting new people.

Also, there's an increasing selection of realisim games and mods out. Some people are evangelists, and belive their mod is the one true game and all others must strive to be like it, but they're full of shit. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif If you play a mod and like it, fine, stick with it and give THAT mod team suggestions to improve their mod. If you find another one you like, it's understandable wanting to help, but don't say "Hey! This other mod kicks ass! Be like this mod, they're better than you!" (Even if you don't say the last part, it's implied.)

Anyway, I think the best thing to do with all these mods is just let their respective dev teams do their thing. Discuss the game, try to find glaring bugs, and let them get a LOT closer to completing their roadmaps before telling them "u sux! CS r0x u!"! /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Oh, and finally... "fix some bugs and then u have people talkin..." Err... Inf 3.0 will do that and a whole lot more. Right now, Inf is an incomplete game, even compared to CS's current beta. Same reason people are complaning about Action Half-Life, it's still very, very early in beta. The true "flavor" of the mod hasn't come out yet... if you played Action Quake 2 back when it was around version .92, most people would hate it, since it was just SO underdevelpoed compared to the final product.

I wasn't directing anything negative toward you personally, and I don't think Neo was either. You just have to realize that it's impossible to please everyone. And when it comes to mod development, everyone's a critic. Including myself /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Oh yeah, Xero, if you haven't done so already, read the road map, as it contains all sorts of cool kick ass new info on the upcoming release. After reading it I became an infiltrator, so to speak. /infopop/emoticons\icon_wink.gif

I didn't want to make anybody angry but I think you can imagine how annoying these 'blahblah is better, be like blahblah' can be.

The fact that we can't please everybody (yet /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ) is well known. But I've been on the crew since version 1 (spring 99) and we've evolved. Just take a look at version 1 and look at us now. And we won't stop here.

"Our mod could be better", Omega, it will!

To be honest Omega, the few badly constructed comments of 4 or 5 guys out of the 15-20,000 people who have downloaded infiltration isn't exactly going to demoralise us in the slightest. Eventually, more than likely the time will co-inside with the release of version 3, the small complaints like this will stop. Our network and all other coding, including AI is being re-worked, time will tell.

So hopefully, the number of uninformed people will dramatically reduce when version 3 is released, however as Neo said, we can't satisfy everyone all the time.

Er, no, you'll never, ever satisfy everyone. There will always be people loyal to another mod for whatever reason: They honestly beleve it's better, their computer can't handle the requirements, they have an irrational hatered for the game, they're part of a community they don't want to leave, ect ect ect... course, there's nothing wrong with that. It's just how the world is /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah, "modwars" are pretty stupid. I love infiltration and CS and I just play both. When strikeforce or swat comes out I'll check them out, although I don't expect they'll be as good as inf 3.0. But I'll give them a fair chance, just as I did with inf.

If you love one mod, it doesn't mean that the others suck... It's possible to love more than one mod at the same time you know /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
