  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Don't know or why, but my computer has become infested with programs that are tying up my bandwith. I am in the process of tryomg to clean my computer. I will not be at practice. The damm little bugers all require numerous registry edits which , knowing me I may screw up. Wish me luck .

look at the attached image to see some of the files.

Since most of them are Apps, you should be able to go into add/remove programs and get rid of them. Then run RegSeeker to get rid of any unwanted registry entries.

Hell, you might want to run regseeker anyway. When I ran it on my Win98 machine it found about 2600 unused entries.

so far so good, i think. Is regseeker a free program? i have been using edit. only to programs had an uninstall listing in the add/remove section and both of them claimed errors in removing the programs.

I have deleted thier exeables and all registry entries I could find. I need to figure how to remove thier drivers.

Update: did all the registry changes from research on the internet. Everything appeared to be gone. Next day different program asking firewall to go out, progams I thought I got rid of are now back.

Ran McAfee. It found 3 adware programs and Jkill.exe it deleted Jkill.exe bt could not get rid of the adware programs, it said the disc we right protected, My Hard disc? Huh?

looked for ad-aware and go it for free from CNET.

ran it it found 45 entries and 8 programs running...ALexa, Hottopic, Search Relevancyand others. was able to delet them.I was clean last night so who knows what to marrow will bring.

Mike, looks like you have to set some ground rules with your family. They must say yes to everything that pops up from websites. Your lucky that Gator Crap didn't get on there. You are going to have to upgrade to WINXP dude.

How about ICE & You have a Build a Puter Party.. Buy the parts and both of you meet at my ShoeBox for a Mini LAN. We can build them get them installed with XP and load up UT2K4 and connect to the LAN. Sounds like a game plan what ya think...

I have google.com toolbar and it has a pop up blocker. But stuff still gets through the block. what has made it frustraighting is that when I think I got rid of it all, it turns out that I missed something.

Wha?
I doubt BT's problems could/would affect the «BuA» forums alone...
I had trouble getting into the forums yesterday, but no problem getting into BU.
Kept getting some 172 or 192 error... go figure.
