Inf 2.9 Player model SDK?

The community Weapon packs are very nice, they started me thinking, is it also possible to make new player models work with 2.9?

If so, I was wondering if the Inf team would release the skeleton animation files for Inf player model, or maybe release a player model SDK?

Wow!
Silver Ibex! :)

Technically it is possible. But the playermodel is a very central part. If the model doesn't have the exact same measurement the leaning system will go fubar.

Duke managed to 'rip' the player model with bones out of our package to get the stuff needed to get the playerattachments working for the bonus pack, cause our originals got lost some time ago.
Duke used Milkshape in the end and I still have the files here on my HD.
But I guess it is his call to release them to the public or not cause he got the stuff extracted properly again. Maybe he can even tell you guys exactly how he did it.

So, Duke... post here if you want ;) (PMed him already)

Yes, Milkshape 3D is the only program (I know of) that can open a .PSK (skeletal mesh) with the bone hierarchy intact. The problem is that once I got these player skeletals open, I couldn't export them into any other common format (such as .3ds for max) without losing the bones. I have no choice but to export them back into .PSK using Milkshape3D (which I can't stand because I'm a 3dsmax/Maya user). So if you have Milkshape 3D, that's good.
I don't see how it's my call to release these files, they're not my models :p
In fact, I encourage anyone who wants to work with the player model to find a way to convert it back to .max and send it to me!
