Hey y'all.
I have a kind of urgent question about wether or not you can import shaders from Maya to UT 2004. I'm kind of newbish on the subject and I can't find any approperiate tutorials on the subject... one of the members in my projectgroup made a model that I'm supposed to turn into a cool looking spell for our highschool project. I have managed to create a shader in maya that I am fairly satisfied with but the problem is... I can't export the shader from maya in a format that is importable to Unreal ed... so, my question is: is it possible to export shaders from maya in such format that it's importable to unreal ed?

I don't think you can import, the game uses its own kind of shaders. It may be possible to re create a similar shader inside Ued but your limited on what you can actually do unless your good at using alpha channels.

If you go to the nvidia website there may be a plugin that can export from maya as a .dds file or something. I stress MAY; this is just a guess. If there is one though, that would be very useful for a lot of people I imagine.
