I'm still having problem with master server

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Hi,
I still cannot see any server in the "Play Online" screen.

Sometimes XMP would simply crash when I get to that screen.

Just now it crashed again. I tried Web Update (in Option|Game|Master Server List) and it still crashed. I removed one server (ms.aybab2u.com) manually from the list, and then it stopped crashing, but an error message says error connecting to master server: shtns.ath.cx. I deleted that server from the list as well, and then it says error connecting to sh.zapto.org, which is the remaining master server. I deleted that too just to see what happens, and it just shows error connecting to master server: (with a blank)

Then I did a web update again, so all three servers are in the list again, and now it doesn't crash, or show any error. It simply shows no servers in the list, except the "dead" one which is an old IP for Survivor, that once showed up in the list a few weeks ago, until they changed the IP.

Meanwhile 3 servers are listed on ms.aybab2u.com web based list. BTW I can't just click on servers on that list because it just tries to get http from that URL. I didn't associate URL with XMP during installation (what does it do exactly?). Anyway those servers should show up in XMP "Play Online" screen if everything is working correctly, right?

Is anyone having the same problem? Is anyone seeing any servers on that screen? I just hope someone is still interested in solving the issue... Just for the sake of it :D

I still have a problem, that's why I don't run serevr anymore, it didn't show for me even at xfire lol.
But at xfire you can see these 3 servers. So I join via xfire now.
But I didn't have any crashes, I think better is switching master servers via ini then for you.

Yes you can, but:
1) You'd have to have the IP written down somewhere, and type it each time. (or make an alias or a bind)
2) You can't check if anyone is in the other servers while you're connected to one. you'd have to connect to each one
3) You cannot see if someone starts up a listen server
4) If any of the server changes the IP again (Survivor changed it not too long ago), you'd have to find out (and hope the web-based MS has it)
5) Anyone who has not been playing XMP recently may think there are no servers at all, especially if Master Server gives no error

People keep saying they play once in a while, but you'd have to be on for hours to catch someone that plays for less than an hour. I hope it gets fixed anyway :)
