If anybody cares: Master server is up.

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

NOW would be a good moment to set your classic maps only server up again, eq :)

Keep hope alive maybe, but is anyone going to keep track of how long until the server goes back down. Probably some janitor accidentally flipped the power back on in the server closet...

It seems up to me, make sure you're using master1.legendent.com. Use "showlog" and then click "reget" until it loops around to the correct master server. There are 4 in the standard XMP ini and only 1 is up. You have to wait for it to say "master server connection failed" and then hit "reget" before it'll move onto the next one. Otherwise just do what I do and comment out the others in the ini.

That's not the view of the entire community

Some believe it's nothing to do with the janitor, but instead there is a small mouse that keeps hitting the switch

If you examine the video tapes closely you can see that the janitor always uses the socket near the book depository. If you listen to the audio on the tape you can also hear a squeak just before the server turns on. The evidence shows that the squeak is made by the small mouse from it's position on the grass knoll

Not at all. The squeal is produced by one of the wheels on the hoover - when the hoover is plugged in, it moves slightly towards the socket and the rear-left wheel squeaks. Like a mouse.

I can understand your confusion, but you'll have to trust us on this one.

edit: we're all mad.
