I have a ton of custom models (the usual suspects, including my avatar of course, also Homer Simpson, Gollum, Tom Servo, etc.). What I've always found odd is that, when headshotted, the heads which are bouncing around are depressingly generic (wouldn't it be hilarious to see Bender's head ricochet off the nearest wall?). Is there a technical reason for this, or just some extra work the modelmakers didn't bother to do (perhaps because it is more bother than it is worth)? If I were to attempt to do that, how much work would be involved? [I don't think I would have to do any extra modeling, just subtract the head from the carcass and let it replace the generic head]

It probably requires some extra coding. The generic head is what is spawned when there's a headshot.
