  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

And If I get the 266fsb MB....will I need diffrent memory then the pc133 I`m running now???
And how much performance diffrence is ther between the 200 and the 266 fsb???

why would you buy this old thunderbird, buy xp
why would you wanna buy this even older 1.2 ghz ? thats antique, the 1.4 will be much faster
you need ddr ram, twice as fast, not really more expensive

that thunderbird can never run at 200 while the 1.2 runs at 266, not possible, they prolly both run on 266

you dont need win xp for the amd xp cpus, the name is just marketing, you can run anything on it, if you want even dos :)

and im not a hardware expert, and yes there stands 200 on the site, but its really imposseble that a 1.4 ghz thunderbird is slower then a 1.2, someone else explain this or something pls :)

Perhaps you'd be better off going for a GeForce 3 rather than a new CPU/motherboard combo - around speeds of 1GHz older graphics cards become the major bottleneck in the battle for more Frames/sec anyway

Then you aren't listening to the right peoples... X/P ROCKS...more stable than 98SE and more user friendly than 2K.. can use either FAT32 or NTFS (just like 2K), has pretty good "extra" software..I have been using it for about 3 months and I think it's better than 2K for the average user, cuase it also includes most of the admin. tools that 2K has.. when I started using 2K with service pack 2 I still had to go and DL several drivers.. but when I installed X/P, I had to DL absolutly NO drivers.. and for this one box that I built, with a crappy SiS350 vid card.. X/P even had drivers for THAT.. it has built in burner software.. in the networking department.. X/P is just about as friendly as you can get..
the only draw back to X/P is the online reg. and you only get 3 of those before you have to call Microsoft.. and I have had people that have done that and had no real problems..

BUT....
I just installed Red Hat...
ooooman.. I think that I may be defecting...
NO NOT defacating...

Red Hat Linux. It's the version of linux that's sold in stores most commonly. There is also Yellow Dog, and Mandrake (I think). I've got a friend who is absolutely obsessed with linux  Just for those completely in the dark here, linux is an OS.

If you already have a burner, that soundblaster, an athlon 900, and a Geforce2, then you should probably turn your attention away form the comp. (Blasphemous, I know)

Red Hat Linux.. is an open source OS that you can DL for FREE.. it's really a good OS for those that like to "tweak" and modify.. when you buy the retail version you are actually paying for tech support... and you will need it if you don't have at least some grasp of coding and such.
