I can't access irc

I can't access IRC because my family gets free internet from my parents' workplace (university.) and the university decided to block ports 6666 & 6667 and a few others. If anyone knows an alternate port I can access enterthegame on, I'll try it to see if it works.

this is what I get if I try to connect with 6665 (strangly enough I can connect to efnet with 6665) (also if I try to connect to enterthegame with 6665 the connection refused is in red but it's in black with 6668):

I've been connecting to enterthegame for a while now using port 5555 but now I get a timeout whenever I try to connect to efnet or enterthegame. Is it possible that my isp blocked all incoming packets from a url that has "irc" in it?

hmmm sometimes if I can't connect to 'irc.enterthegame.com' I use either ky.enterthegame.com or ca.enterthegame.com. Ports 6666 to 6669.

I'm getting a "host not found" on both ca and ky. I searched on the web and finally found out about ny.enterthegame.com, newzealand.enterthegame.com, and ky1.enterthegame.com. "host not found" also on all of those. I'm still getting a connection refused on irc.enterthegame.com

EDIT: efnet works fine by the way. It seems my connection to enterthegame is like cursed or something.

ETG in general just gets ****ed a lot more than most irc servers. They always complain about whatever **** too even though there are servers out there that handle more and are more reliable.

There was a netsplit since 9:04am GMT today on ETG, that maybe why you haven't been able to connect.

If you still can't connect try france.enterthegame.com

Our team has moved from etg to three other servers in the past 3 years. they are all the same imho, unreliable at times. we moved from etg, to pgp, then to gs, and finally at protium.org. only reason we moved was because our immediate gametype community moved.

My internet stopped working altogether for a few days there.
Now it's fixed. And IRC works too.
