So I'm nearly finished with my first map, I'd like to "release" it, have it hosted somewhere where people will download it, and hopefully someone will add it to the rotation in their server so I can play it online. How best to go about this?

    1. Go to FileFront and set up an account, there you can upload the file for free and people can download it without having to register (unlike fileplanet or most other sites).
    2. Submit the link to the file to a place like UTUnlimited so that the site can review it (Firefly has been particularly busy recently with reviews).
    3. Post a beta release announcement in the content release section of this forum. Make sure to use the recommended format to include map name, version number, release date, author, SCREENSHOTS (otherwise no one will bother to download the map) and a quick explanation of the map.

Cool thanks, I don't need a filefront account because I have my own domain name and hosting, so I'll just put it there.
