How see all files in UT-folder?

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

FINALLY I GOT A DAMN PC!!! And it's pretty powerfull too: 2,8ghz P4 and a 256mb graphic card. :) That's nice, but I'm new into the PC world and from time to time I get stuck when dealing with system stuff as now...

I wanna edit files in the UT folder as the INI-files but I cant even see that file or any file, only folders! Sooo those files must be hidden in some way but I cant find anything in the preferences for the folder that make them visible!

What to do?

I run Windows XP.

Visit site
You can open "My PC", then open the Tools menu, and select the "Folder options" element. A window will open, there you select the "View" tab (the second one on the left) and you'll see two radio buttons. Select "Show all hidden files and folders" and you are set.

It's possible the options names are not exactly as described, because i am translating them from spanish :p

Oh, and clicking on the "apply these settings to all folders" should do what it is supposed to :)

Here is a screen that shows (in swedish) the option for "Show Hidden Files and Folder" is active... And the result= no files can't still be seen... But they seems to be there because when I search on specific file names I got hits on the correct location... Strange or what? :(

Damn... I understand now. I was used to the Mac-way UT-works: On mac there are infi-files on UT-rot level as well.... The rot-level in my Mac UT-folder is really messy with lot of files placed by the installers not by me... That why I assumed the files should be there also in the PC-version. Ok... Problem solved I think.
