I can see where this guy is coming from, thinking that noob is just like newbie but u just say "bie" when u have the b in noob, like noo-B(ie).

I didnt see where he was coming from until you posted that. I was looking at 'noob' and looking real hard for the second sylable.

Its one of those things which is nondebatable, noob has one syllable if you pronounce it correctly and so does cool.

yeah, cool (khee-wel) has only one sylable (gee old man, ever wondered how the times has changed, like, totally?)
cool and noob (nhee-ewb) has two sylables now, face it dude

many poeple seem to say it differently...

i personally pronounce it jsut liek "own" but with a P sound at the beginning "pown", i guess. sounds much liek "moan"

my brother says a bunch of his friends at school pronouce it "pawn" which seems really odd, and mostly retarded, to me.

i pronounce it like owned but closed my teeth tight (only the lips are opened, like when grinning) when im saying it so it sounds like... pwnd

My friends pronounce it that way too. Just try it, say owned but close your teeth tight instead of opening your mouth wide to make an O. The beginning would sound like a p.

I used to think it was like "pawn" like "porn" lol but with a slightly more w sound, but now its widely known to be pown, I only found this out a few days ago when i heard slacks remix of this song and he goes pown! and everyone else does so

To me it looked like, for the p: puh, the w:wuh, the n: nuh, which makes kinda pawn, i don't really see how its pown tho puh-ow-nuh I guess ;\

Anywho, Anyhow, i'M gUNNA pWN j00 ;p wewt! omg .... now we have covered n00b and pwn, how do you say w00t!!!?? I think this is a symple one, its just like wewt right ... but what the heck does it mean? I never knew exactly what woot meant and why :s lool ....

When I type 'n00b', I'm thinking of saying it, "nooob"

When it's "pwned" or "pwn", I oddly pronounce the p, for a "Powned", etc... but in public, I say owned, heh. Oddly even my non-gamer friends knows what "own" and it's plural forms mean... it's like another way of saying, "you're mah biatch", or, "I own you"
