My integrated ignore list works just fine, I don't need external tools.

It's not half as funny as it was when FlashIV made the same joke.

Too bad there isn't a way to tell who has you ignored.

I have 0 people on my ignore list. There was one guy who I wanted to put on there but never did. He doesn't post hardly ever anymore.

Or extremely sad if you're a dev who should be reading feedback. :p

Maybe he was one of the 124. :p In fact, WarTourist should be the one saying, "Wth? An empty thread."

You know, except replace Rein's face with WarTourist's. :p

Also, feedback is only feedback when it's positive. Otherwise it's flames.

    Haha

You know... I'm going to disagree with you. And you're not going to be surprised.

A lot of the "feedback" went well beyond "useful" in any way and meandered into the territory of relentlessly vicious. But that's another thread...

I've only been on and off (mostly off) for about two weeks and I already know: here it goes again

I have zero users on my list, due to the fact that I have not been here long enough to hate someone :D

I don't know if anybody else has said this, but the whole 90% voter population with no one on their ignore list may be part of the problem here.

    Z E R 0 ! ! !

Forgive the harsh language, but imho anyone who uses the ignore on a forum consisting of at least some half-intelligible debate is more or less a Wimp in my book!

Ignore for direct message protocols, Sure. blocking spam messages, Fine. Preventing flooding/harassment in online games, Sure thing.

But on a monitored board in more than likely a political debate? That's like closing your ears to opinions you don't agree with.

    There's a problem?

    I don't like problems. Ignored.

Well seeing as folks are now claiming that having someone on your ignore list makes you a imp or so i feel i should explain that the only two people i've ignored i did so purely because they had nothing intelligent to say, they simply flamed me and others and when i say flame i mean insult directly not just criticise a bit. One of the two people even PM'd me to fling insults so i gave up.

Ignoring them seemed the wisest choice.

In that case having a large ignore list means that you either get into arguments with looneys a lot, or that you are generally flameable;)

    Sorry, but selective reading, much?

Or do I have to make an example of everything?
Because I honestly have seen many episodes of peeps here on BuF muting eachother in political debates where both sides weren't just spouting crap for the crap's sake.

I'm not missing any feedback from the people on my ignore list. Everything they're saying is being said by someone else...just without as much "psycho".

BUF is work for me, it's part of my job. If someone is interfering with me doing my job (spamming, flaming, insulting, you know the drill), the ignore list lets me 'un-interfere' them.
