Hi all. Going to start modelling soon on a Gears of War project in MAX.

To make sure everything is in scale, there are two things I need to know -

1 ) How big are the Gears? In Unreal Units, length, width and height?
2 ) Also, how tall are they supposed to be in centimetres/feet and inches?

The 2nd one isn't really necessary, but we really need to know the first before we start modelling in MAX.

Sorry to bump, but surely someone has a note of this - can anyone answer my question?

We want to do some preliminary modelling tomorrow and can't until we know.

What gears are you talking about? Your question is as vague and confusing as it could possibly get.

160 units. Was also mentioned in my FAQ.

No one cares about cm/inches. The whole thing with using generic units in games is exactly that, they are generic.

    More sizes for you :

Medium to large room: around 3072 to 4096 width and at least 384 high
Regular corridor: 440 width and 384 high
    Staircase: at least 225 width

The "gears" are the soldiers the player plays as in the Gears of War games, aren't they? That's what I meant.

Thanks for that size Hourences; do you know the width of the player collision box/model?

These are the important measurements, really. Once I have the width I can create a block in MAX that is the correct height/width proportion to use as a man-ruler.
