Hotmail saved my PC!

Yes, not all microsoft products are insecure and bug-filled. I got a mail from a friend today telling me that he was infected with BadTrans and it was sent to me, but the server refused it. My antivirus hadnt been updated by then so if it wasnt for hotmail...

Apparantly BadTrans doesnt need you to open the attachment in Outlook Express.

I keep getting e-mails that just prompt me to download something as soon as I read them. I assumed that this was a virus. If I don't download, nothing happens.

I've had badtrans in a couple of emails lately. Norton picks it up and quarantines it for me.

Some git sent me a virus the other night. So obvious though that I didnt even open it. No-one that I know, but it was actually sent from an actual address. Still trying to find out if they meant to send it.
