I just got done working three days on a movie starring Christian Slater and Cuba Gooding Jr. I'm not IN the movie but I got to see a lot of the filming and I even got to drive a van that was chasing a scene car through the park. That was fun. Had to repeat the same route 7 or 8 times following a Caddy very closely down a narrow park trail doing about 30mph. Also got to be really close when they filmed the big nasty crash scene that ends the car chase.
My van was the video van that the director and producer would sit in to make sure the camera was shooting properly. Next thing I know, Christian Slater hops in the passenger seat between takes to get warmed up. Dude was totally cool. That was so much fun I wasn't even thinking about the $150/ day I was earning doing it.
Picked up a few souvenirs while I was there. Snagged a script and a few of the spent ammo blanks they were firing for the shootout scene. I also got a lot of pics and videos on my phone. They might have another movie coming here in May. I can't wait.
