It happened to someone very foolish and not knowing the map properly yet...(why are you looking at me ?) to run into enemy spawning point while carrying the CD. Due to the heat of the fight, he was a bit lost and when he saw the warning message, it was too late...
The problem was...he dropped the CD in an unrecoverable (is that english ?) spot because of the EAS sniper. Could it be possible that when the CD is dropped in a defender spawn zone, it gets back directly to his case ?
Also...I had lots of difficulties to connect yesterday, it seems the Master server was pinging the 4000 UT servers and that lasted for ages. AlmostAlive had the same problems as others players. So it seems that is coming from the Master server or is it a small unnoticed bu...err I mean a tiny 6-footed creature that ruins programer's life ?
As for muties...I would like something that wpould force a loadout according to role and place. Example an Iraki defender would have an AK loadout, an US soldier would have choice between Minimi and M16 only, (with one player allowed a scope - or only one sniper class in both teams)...etc
Of course, to balance things (considering the sniper class option), Russians based armies should be allowed to use either the scoped Sig or the PSG (unless someone is already working on a Dragunov).
I think this is feasible since I remember there was an "Hunt the Sniper" mutie that was developed some years ago (I had a small participation to this idea, providing suggestions).
This mutie consisted in providing a sniper team with one sniper (Rc50 or PSG) and one or 2 "henchmen" only allowed to use iron sights. The enemy team was iron sight only but I think one was allowed to have a scope on an AR.
If someone remembers that mutie and has a link to it, it might help. I think The Fur was heavily participating in that mutie.
