  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

anyways...

ive spent some time on a CTF map, and not wanting to do any more work than absolutely neccisary, select all one half and duplicate it, rotate, rebuild for the other half... but the editor crashes within about 10 seconds of doing it with the message:

"general protection fault History:URender::ClipBspSurf <- URender::OccludeBsp <- Urender::OccludeFrame <-UEditorEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop"

and my perspective viewport goes all screwed... i seriously am not going to remake over 1000 brushes for the other side if i cant do it this way, so any fix or way around this?

Do it in small groups at a time. If I remember correctly, I tried doing the same thing a couple years ago and it froze every time. UED2 seemed finnicky if I tried gettin' too big for its britches, meaning it can probably only handle so much computation at a time. An Epic guy would probably supply a better answer to this Q than anyone here.

You'd better have a BUTT-Load of RAM to do cut-n-paste that much stuff in the editor.
Oosyxxx has the right idea. Do brushes, then other actors seperate. Rebuild and <Save as> a DIFFERENT name after each step.
