This is my first post but I have had convos with people concerned with skinning on line and have read many tutes and websites about skinning. All that I can say is thank you all for your part in sharing your love for this craft. I might have spent a lot of time spinning my wheels had it not been for the game and Internet commune holding me up right.
I do have two… well one skin completed, for UT GOTY Edition. He is Xstar and based on the Male Soldier with a Samurai Warrior theme. He is my first and I am thrilled with the results. The second is based on the SoldierGirl and is just evil to the core.
Well, I have read about how to write the .utx and the .int file but I’ll be danged if I know what to do with them after that!!! And I’m guessing that they have to be written in note pad, but then what. I used SkinMaker to auto compile and install Xstar in the game but he came out all washed out in color. I blame that on the SMaker proggy but other then that this is a great program! I would rather NOT use the U2 Editor I have my troubles with that one and have heard it is bad bad bad. Ok there ya have it. If you can help me install my skins I will be happy but in addition, can you tell me how easy it might be to post a thumb here so you can see my work? Ok… enough post soon I’ll be back tonight or tomorrow. For now back to my skinz!
