what do i need to do?

UT2004 Build UT2004_Patch_[2004-05-10_17.18]

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: GenuineIntel Unknown processor @ 2525 MHz with 1023MB RAM
Video: RADEON 9800 PRO (6436)

Could not spawn a GUI Controller!

this is all that happens when i start the game? HELP ME!

I've got pretty much the same problem with different hardware. This is also before and after I tried deleting the .ini s mentioned above

Did you have the single player beta before this? Some ppl have had success deleting the old folder and reinstalling Duffers fresh from the multi alpha.

Yes, I'm patched to 3204 and play several other mods successfully. BTW I had the same problem with single player and yes, when it came time to install multiplayer I made sure that the single player folder and contents were completely removed first.

Hmmm...

Don't know if it means anything to you but here is the error code I get when trying to start from the included .bat file:

I copied and pasted your core.system and it works!

Just out of curiosity I deleted everything again and reinstalled from a new installer from fileshack. Worked out of the box that time! How strange.

Anyway, nice work so far! Now to get it running under linux ;)
