Hello, various questions...

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. Hello,

Been ages since I last posted a skin at Skincity and first time posting in the forums...

I hope this is the right section to post my questions...



1. Out of Nastalgia, I decided to go look for Unreal skins! yeah, real old stuff - but eh. Anyways, long ago - the only site I really remember for Unreal1 skins was House of Style at PlanetUnreal - but that died... now i bare found anything Unreal 1 skins remaining online - are they all gone for good? (I have very little remaining from my old collection from HoS site)

2. Another gone site UTSkins.com - can't remember why. But it hosted some skinners, like Huschang - anyone know his current site?

Also looking for the guy who made the Conni model (for Quake 3 and UT) um Verb.. something and Roger '666' Bacon. Their sites have long since been run down - do they have new ones?

3. Is there anyway to extract the psk model from the ukx? I really want to see some of the models in upaint - but either no psk, the author never replies to an email, or doesn't leave one for contact -_-

For the hell of it I tried UT Package Tool (UTPT) surpringingly it can open ukx files! only problem is that it does not have compatibility with the psk format yet - so it can't extract the model! Is there any other more recent program like UTPT out there? or anyone around knowledgeable about psk and coding that can "patch" the current beta of UTPT?

4. Is there any program that quickly export the UV maps of a model like UTSkinmaker did (I miss that little prog) - which can handle psk and other various model formats as well?

Sorry , I don´t know any site that is hosting Unrealskins.
Also , I don´t know the sites of the guys you are searching for.

If you search for UT2003/04 UVMaps Kirin posted a thread with the Wireframes in two sizes (1024*1024 and 2048*2048) in two variations .
Wireframes and Wireframes with the ECE-Bonusmodels included.

I wrote a very dirty way of extracting custom models: http://v2.saphiria.net/notes-ukxexport.php

From there, you will need to use 3D studio max or another program to extract the wireframes.

EDIT: Most of the time though, if you email the author of the model for an SDK, they'll send it to you and you can work off that. I get more SDKs that way than by doing the dirty method which I linked previously.
