Start by dropping that elevated distinction between "the Jailbreak team" and "the Jailbreak community" first. Just that Rob never tires to shoot
smileys towards "the team" whenever he gets a chance doesn't mean he's right.
Personally, I don't quite see why I should be "obliged" to play Jailbreak... or why anybody else should. My life has changed quite a bit since two (three?) years ago when Jailbreak 2003 development started up, so it took quite an effort for me to even manage to finish my part of Jailbreak 200x's development. I've never been a heavy player, not even after finishing the work on Jailbreak III.
Perhaps we should drop bot support to force people online; that works well for quite a lot of other mods as well.
Perhaps we should kick "the community" out of its service mentality ("Why doesn't The Team wish us Merry Christmas? Why doesn't The Team play Jailbreak?") to get better things than such discussions started again.
Sorry for rambling. I'm just getting tired of being told how it's my fault that people don't play enough Jailbreak or whatever. It's odd; if it wasn't for me and those other people who "should do something" they're not doing, we wouldn't even have the subject of this discussion at hand.
