Greetings from a 120MHZ P1

Okay, this totally sucks ass. First off, I order some parts for my PC, and they get here on time. I install everything except the processor, 'cause I'm kinda fuzzy on how to do that. So I take it into the local computer shop to have it installed. 3 Days later... I find out that it is a Flip Chip, and my motherboard is incompatible! Dammit, ordered a part that allows flip chips on my moboard, doesnt work. DAMMIT!!! Order a new MB and I'm waiting for that now. Should be here either tomorrow or Monday they say. By Tuesday, I haven't played UT/INF, Deus Ex, or Diablo 2 in about 1 week and 3 days /infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Believe me I know how you feel!
I ordered a PC from those people who ship their PC's in big black and white boxes that look like cows....know who I am talking about? <g>

Anyhow they told me that I would have my new box in a weeks time. Never happened , I rang them and was told that they had no motherboards! and that it would be another few days. Another few days passed , no pc , rang them again and this time they had no cases!
I cancelled the order and ordered a Dell pc , which I had no such similar problems , in fact they were great.

The story does not end here....1 month later they (black and white cow people) still charged me for the pc that I never got , even after me cancelling the order.

I would love to know if anybody has had similar experiences with these people or was I just very unfoutunite with them????

Please please dont start the whole Homebrew Vs Company pc debate again! I know that homebrew are generally better , I was just too lazy!

No such troubles for me

My first couple of puters were no-name-computers but I never had any problems with deliveries or anything.
A friend of mine at work ordered a computer through the company, and HE had some troubles! Hooo boy! hehehe
Not funny when it happens to you though...

Now I have a Dell XPS T600r and it works like a charm even though I have to suffer not having a Voodoo card.
But I can live with that for now.

Flip card PGA? I'm using an adaptor for my mobo too. No problems.

Only thing is it messes up your interrupt settings, so if you have an SBlive or something you'll have to download the patch or all you get is true blue screens.
