I recently purchased a Dimension XPS B800r with a 64MB DDR Nvidia GeForce. After setting it up I looked through my old games and installed Unreal. It didn't look very good so I downloaded the latest patch (2.25f) and now I can play at very high resolutions. It still doesn't look as good as I remember with the voodoo 1 card I have in my old machine. smoke/vapor doesn't look right and there are some things I can't even see (Early in the game while still on the ship you walk on a floor covered with ice or water. With the voodoo there was a reflection off of the floor but now there is nothing). Performance is fine but is there a way to improve these graphics? I looked in the advanced setup and everything looked ok there. Thanks

You need to set up D3D in advanced options under Display.

Well I have also experianced problems with my Athlon 650 and a Asus geforce 32mb DDR.
D3d is working but have serious clipping problems, opengl have texture problems and some "too far away dont want to draw it" problems. So there is only software mode left to use.
