I've played them all. I still have my PS1 and GT1 in a box in the garage and have flogged GT Sport since I got a PS4 four years ago.

It's GT and the driving is what you'd expect from this franchise. It looks the goods (PS4) and the car physics are up to the usual GT standard.
The game is really generous with cars, basically because there's a career/advancement mechanic with a set of goals; and completed goals will gift cars. Being the 25th Anniversary Edition I got downloaded the current GUI and the 25th celebration stuff, which includes two special events and a gifted Group X car...... cool.
They also brought back some of the classic tracks from yesteryear; Trial Mountain, High Speed Ring and Deep Forest... cool.
They've also brought back used cars and complex car tuning. That's very much in the spirit of the original game.
I've only played two nights so far and I must have twenty cars and 200,000 credits by completing goals and the license tests.

You have no choice but to do the career as that is required to unlock circuits.
This wouldn't be so bad except the whole GUI and these mechanics are haunted by pop-up "helpful characters" who want to tell you things, be your friend and set your goals.
The whole vibe is very cheesy and arcade for a GT franchise release and I could do without it; particularly since there seems to be nothing in options for turning these pop-ups off or at least dialing down their activity.
Apart from that it's just more GT but better.............
I'm not Clutchman by the way.....
