got my new 6800 (woot)

got my BFG 6800 oc yesterday from bestbuy, they have a very sweet deal -you get an off the shelf copy of doom 3 for free with the purchase of a bfg card the card itself already came with farcry , so im sittin pretty with a great game bundle and a new card to play em on. doom 3 runs great at high settings and far cry at very high. the card has already out performed my expectations and oddly enough my mobo is staying about 4 celcius cooler then it was with my older card (odd). well, if anyone is in the market for a great card, get the BFG from bestbuy (299.99) and grab up yer free doom3 and bundled farcry (lifetime warrenty and out of the box 50mhz faster clock then other 6800's)

I got a X800 Pro for 430 EUR (that's like 1 billion dollar) and it only included Prince of Persia and Pandora Tomorrow.
Doom 3 and Far Cry run really well on it, so I'm not disappointed in any way. The funny thing is that Thief 3 is still as slow

i just noticed i said 50mhz faster (oops) its 350 instead of 325

and the 300 is msrp for the 6800, its not a gt or ultra. tho i only found the bfg on 1 or 2 online stores and it was about 330.00$ (newegg.com has other brand 6800's for around 280.00)

Yeah, I realized that after I checked out Best Buy's site and saw it was the 128 meg version. Still, not a bad card. Sure puts my FX 5200 to shame. Sniff.

Ahh, Voodoo... I remember purchasing a Voodoo4 over a GeForce2MX. My friends thought I was crazy until they saw the power of Glide + UT99 . That was about the only game I played, anyway. Man, UT had a nice run with me... Only Daggerfall beat it out, in terms of how long I regularly played it (4 years for UT, 7 for Daggerfall. Don't ask).
