  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Combine it with the oldskool mod for UT. It's way more varied. A wider choice of models, skins, mutators etc. Plus there are some specific mappacks geared towards UT single player/coop. If you'd be interested in that.
But running the retail game with this mod is recommended. Give it at try.

multi-install the game, one stays original, the other mod it up (so you can play the RTNP)

Depending on your system and XP, if running multi-core CPU, you will want to turn off to just one core, retart the game using the change video card, the open the task menu (ctrl/alt/del) select Unreal, right click and select affinity, turn off all but one core, close out and play.

This stops ingame hitching, don't try this while the game runs, it screws the internal timings of the game, and everything might run slow after the fix.

It doesn't stop all the hitching. What you *really* have to do is to go into the game, open the console (~), type in preferences and then find your renderer. Then set the FrameRateLimit to 200, because the hitching happens when the framerate jumps over 255. By disabling one core I think the PC just works 50% slower so it's not even capable of getting 255 frames.
