Hello fellow modders, my name is Victor. I just started a mod called Gladiator: Rivers of Blood. RoB will be a remake of the classic DOS game Gladiator by Fogotten Sages, or OpenGlad as it is called now. This mod attempts to bring a newer version of that games gameplay to todays Gamers through the Unreal Engine 2.
I'm currently attempting to learn the coding myself, i have experience with c++, what the heck, how hard could it be, right? I'm having a difficult go at it, though, and i figured it doesn't hurt to ask.
So here I am asking, I need a coder, or a few.
The challenge: Create a player control switch system so that the player can change the unit that he controlls. Modify the scoring system to track team and individual stats. every kill gives every individual unit experience, which makes them better, so on and so forth, the stat tracking system is a big part. HUD editing is another part, but that should be done after most of the other stuff.
