Very good games. I'll give a quick summary of each game, from my point of view.
Note: PuF was always blue, MyUnreal was always red.
Game #1
Coret Facility
Time Limit: 20:00
Six players per team.
MyUnreal struck first, for a 1-0 lead (I forgot how). I ran into their base with some armor, got hit a few times, but came out, with the flag, without dying. Tie game, one cap apiece. Osirus, utilizing his throw-xloc-grab-the-flag-tranlocate-fire-rockets-grab-the-flag-again technique, burned us again, making it 2-1, MyUnreal. Again, I stormed their base, took their armor, and captured the flag, making the game 2-2. Osirus tried his special technique a few more times, unsuccessfully. I stormed their base one last time, and made off with their flag, capping it for a 3-2 lead, PuFfers. Osirus managed to capture our flag, making it 3-3. Regulation ends with both teams tied at three captures. Osirus once again punished us with another death-defying capture, for the win, 4-3 in OT. The winner: MyUnreal.
Game #2
Lava Giant
Time Limit: 20:00
Six players per team.
MyUnreal got away with a cap for a 1-0 lead. I made my way into the red base numerous times, but every time I grabbed the flag, they caught me. Towards the end of the game I snuck inside their base, which was totally deserted. They had our flag, and so I picked up theirs. I ran back to the blue base, just in time to see the opposition making off with our flag. Instead of trying to chase after their flag carrier, I jumped into my base. I wondered around my base, and I heard the announcer say, "30 seconds remaining!" Soon after, a red guy snuck into our base and shot a redeemer right at my feet. I died, dropping the flag. Several seconds passed, before I heard "I've got the flag!" Just a few short seconds later, I heard that our flag had been returned. I was elated. And then I heard the countdown from 10 begin. The five second mark passed, and our man still had not capped the flag. I was translocating from the ridge outide our base. With about one second left I jumped up, just to get a view of where our flag carrier (EliteWarrior) was. He was just outside the flag enclosure. The one second mark passed, right before he captured the flag. The game went into overtime, at 1-1. I ran into the red base, which was quite empty. I got back to my base, but our flag was taken. I hid behind the middle tower and waited. Our flag was returned, and I scored the winning capture, to make it 2-1. The winner: Planet Unreal.
Game #3
Facing Worlds
Time Limit: 20:00
Six players per team.
I scored the only cap for a 1-0 win. The winner: Planet Unreal.
Game #4
Orbital Station 12
Time Limit: 20:00
Eight players per team.
MyUnreal led most of the game, 1-0. Towards the end, they made it 2-0. I scored an almost meaningless capture with about one minute left. The winner: MyUnreal.
Games #1 and #2 were quite close, but #3 and #4 weren't as close as they sounded.
Thanks to all the PuFfers and all the MyUnrealers who helped make these games possible. I suggest we play another four games on Saturday, March 25, at 10 PM ET/7 PM PT/3 AM GMT.
Who's gonna be the odd man out? I want to be the odd man out.
