Holy Crap... That was 3 hours of some serious fun last night!!

Me and Dev hooked up and did Co-Op play for GoW. That game is pretty freaking fun and it ran smooth. Damn what a blast.
Anyone else have GoW? If so hook up with someone and get your Frag On..

Just bought a updated video card but not the GTS series since they are doing PCI 2.0. I can't afford an upgrade since we are remodeling our kitchen this year. I'll see about if I run into any extra cash.

I don't think I went much past the first level, gears sucks IMO. Its got console written all over it. Third person shooter with the person offset in the lower left, you push a button to toggle crouching behind an object??? WTF?

Maybe I didn't spend enough time with it... but I enjoyed bioshock a lot more and even that got uninstalled.

Crouching behind objects is needed cause the AI is pretty smart. You move from cover to cover which means alot of action. After a big skirmish you hear a sound that tells you all clear, thats when you search for ammo and cog tags. Saves are done by reaching a certain point. Graphics are good.

Just walked in the door with it... but you gotta tell me something before I bother to open it, because the box wasn't exactly straightforward; Do I need a MS Live account to play this? Because you know my policy on $50 + pay-to-play games... and if that's the case, it's going back tomorrow and I'm buying Crysis out of spite.

Live gold is $50 a year and is still crap
You have a 1 month free trial to live gold in the box.

Right now, me and Taz are trying it(gold), we'll see what happens in 2 weeks with live silver.

Oh, look at that... Crysis is "games for windows" as well... man... we're living in a M$ world.
I considered CoD4... but it didn't look like a game I would be interested in... and other than TimeShift, I didn't see anything at Wally World that really interested me.

Gears is actually pretty good fun. It's just the whole live crap is pretty useless. I saw nothing in there that we didn't have before the event of live except achievements.

Oh and Crysis is a "Games for Windows" not "Games for Windows Live"

GoW is a Game for Windows too... which means they both require a Live account to play online.
I downloaded the demo for Crysis last night, and I have to tell you that I was not impressed... graphics or no... it might as well have been CoD4 with all the ducking and hiding behind sh*t.
I'm going to stick with Gears... at least then I can map for both GoW and UT3.

Yea, we lost all the Checkpoints in GoW. Starting Over now. Its ok still fun even if MS is involved.

Guys, there is a new patch out. Don't install it yet. After the update, the game seems to be unable to find the disk.

Ok, i installed it. I didn't get any problems. The disk thing might be OS related (read Vista related).

BTW, i'm running XP SP2
