Frag.Ops needs some talented mappers to come and pick up the last bit of slack, and give us some amazing tactical environments.

We're a semi-realism mod, however we focus on quick DM-style gameplay, extreme player movement and advancement through medals and experience gained by skill. We are a game that rewards players for doing well with ability and weapon enhancements.

At this moment, i'd say we are at about 75% of where we'd like to be for a public release, aside from completed maps. Within the next 2 weeks our characters will be done, and that will fill about 15%. We will be aiming for an eventual late-july, mid-august release. Drop an email to squirrel@fragwhored.com if you wish to apply.

Here's a couple screenshot goodies, taken in the map DM-AChina, to show what this game could be with some real environments.

you used to be with Tactics didn't you? I shot you an email but didn't hear back =/

not one decent mapper has come forward since this post. To give you an idea of the people who ask to map for us, check the mapping forums on our site ... if it's not made by nessy, ecto, or ben, you'll get a good laugh.

Recruiters beware, we just caught a guy ripping maps and calling them his own. Goes by the name Mista, and he _was_ on two week trial with us until the real author, SpoonDog, let us know. Here's the thread:

SpoonDog came to you via this thread after I had visited your mapping forums (following your suggestion a few postings above) and felt suddenly reminded of one of SpoonDog's maps when I saw "Mista"'s screenshots.

Frankly, if somebody posts links to screenshots going to a big map review site like NaliCity, the first thing that'd occur to me would be looking up the corresponding review and download the map from there. It seems none of you thought of that.

I'm also a bit bewildered that PyroPython (in that thread) seems to be willing to accept "Mista" anyway under certain circumstances. I, personally, would directly eject anybody who has been caught claiming other people's work as their own from any position even remotely related to the project I'm working on. Work ethics aside there's not even a guarantee "Mista" won't take (some of) your work later on and claim it as his own.

Python's native language isn't english. He was asking Mista to show us shots of his map in UED to prove it was his, but he didn't realize that you can open any map in UED. That thread has been locked and i dropped Mista from his trial immediately.

I'll say thanks, but do me a favor. Don't be so judgmental when you post suggestions, because people/teams make mistakes, especially when they're busy as hell.

man, i really hate people who steal other's work. those kind of people should never be allowed to work on mods. what a shame.
