    Howdy all.

    If an admin can peek into an existing thread in our private forum, we have an issue that might need some attention.

    http://forums.beyondunreal.com/showthread.php?t=141751

    To sum up for those that won't be able to see the post, we hit a flaw in the forums where spaces are added to lines of code or UT commandlines in regular text, as well as using code or quote tags. This is something that would screw up ini files if they are copy/pasted as they appear. For example, the following snippet shouldn't have any spaces that aren't enclosed in quotes:

    GameType=(GameName="DeathBall Reg 2.0Full",HideVote=False,Clan=True,RequiredPlayers=0,MapLimits=6,ServerName="BuD2k4 DeathBall 2.0 - UT2Vote",UseMapList=False,DefaultMap="DB-OrientBeta",MapPrefix="DB",GameClass="deathball.DB_DeathBall",Mutators="None",Commands="?MaxLives=0?GoalScore=10?TimeLimit=20?MinPlayers=0?MaxPlayers=12?MaxSpectators=6?Translocator=False?WeaponStay=True?BalanceTeams=False?ForceRespawn=False?PlayersMustBeReady=False?Tournament=0?GamePassword=?GameStats=True?GameSpeed=1.00?FF=0.00?NumBots=0?Difficulty=5")

    We often post examples such as above to help solve problems UT200x admins are having in configuring UT2Vote. Unfortunately, the inserted spaces went unnoticed until now.. Which led to a lot of wasted troubleshooting for some folks. Hopefully there's a trick to set this right.

    Include them in [code] tags.

    Code:
    GameType=(GameName="DeathBall Reg 2.0Full",HideVote=False,Clan=True,RequiredPlayers=0,MapLimits=6,ServerName="BuD2k4 DeathBall 2.0 - UT2Vote",UseMapList=False,DefaultMap="DB-OrientBeta",MapPrefix="DB",GameClass="deathball.DB_DeathBall",Mutators="None",Commands="?MaxLives=0?GoalScore=10?TimeLimit=20?MinPlayers=0?MaxPlayers=12?MaxSpectators=6?Translocator=False?WeaponStay=True?BalanceTeams=False?ForceRespawn=False?PlayersMustBeReady=False?Tournament=0?GamePassword=?GameStats=True?GameSpeed=1.00?FF=0.00?NumBots=0?Difficulty=5")

    You can include them in any tag you like - the forum adds spaces at character 363 and every 100th character from then on.

    This is very serious and need immediate attention as its causing gray hair with modders.

    Sure looks suspicious. Rap, would you forward to the vB guys for a look-see?

    In the interim, guys, you might want to simply attach a text file to your post with the code embedded in it, sans spaces.

    it's been two days. Jelsoft is a business, as such they likely don't operate on weekends like most businesses, and require at the minimun of two business days to reply, maybe more.

    In other words, ask again at the end of the week. :p
