Footsteps

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. Sorry! -when i say *crappy* of course i mean 'not as elegant as being able to assign different footstep sfx to different textures'.

I have been using a generic step sfx and the playback of the sfx isnt so good, it works better in the editor in the animation window than at runtime. Seems like the sounds play in the same channel and interrupt each other?? not quite sure.

mebbe you could do a sound properties attached to the player and different triggers on different surfaces could swap between the triggers on the player.

Dunno what your going to do if the player jumps or crouch's youll have to write your own script for that
