Peanuts ceased being funny long long time ago. It resides with the likes of Family Circus, Marmaduke, Ziggy, etc.

If only Bloom County, Far Side, and Calvin & Hobbes would return. I might start following the comics again.

I was sad that Peanuts is coming to an end. And here there's someone who's glad about that!! Peanuts is the most philosophical and thought-provoking of all comic strips. How can you knock it like that??

Breast feeding is best. But if you can't breast feed, choose Cammy's Full Cream Milk.

Peanuts isn't coming to an end. The end occurred, probably somewhere in the late 60's. Since then its been the same cartoon over and over and over again.

Charlie can't kick a football. Not because he's incapable, but because Lucy foils his attempt every time. So you can discuss his apparent unending faith in his fellow human being, but for how long? After the 5th time (and its been more like 500 times I would guess)I think the problem lies with Charlie's inability to learn.

Similarily, as a reader, I would suggest that the message(s) of Peanuts has been repetitive to the point where learning has ceased to be an issue, and boredom replaces it as an appropiate description.

Read the early stuff (I don't know when it began), but you can essentially ignore the cartoon over the past, say, 30 years, because its all the same.

I feel the same way about "The Simpsons"..its the same attitude on every show...they should get rid of it as well cause its already old and demeaning and a waste of time cause one or more of them will show some gutless radical attitude on every show.
