Epic Games has released the February 2012 build of the Unreal Development Kit. The big news on this release is full support for Scaleform user interfaces on mobile devices.

The showcase this time falls on Renegade X, pictured to the right.

"When the UDK came out, the team instantly knew that it was the future for Renegade X. We were already using the editor that shipped with Unreal Tournament 3, but UDK allowed us to make Renegade X bigger than ever before. Despite our familiarity, we were definitely surprised by the massive increase in visual quality."

Not in UDK unless Sony pull something very un-Sony out (remember that engine for free development on the Ps3? Never saw the light of day anyway).

You need dev-kits and licenses for Vita, so until Sony solve that issue, there's no UDK for Vita.

Really need an Android version, IMO. Opens up the platform to a host of new people since most Android devices don't need a market at all to have games installed on them.
