Faster Grenade

So I see that the frag grenade is going to be off-hand in beta3. I'm just wondering if the grenade will still take the same amout of time to arm and throw ,then wait..and wait until it blows up??
I think that it would add to gameplay if i detonated faster , and was thrown faster.

I think they are working on this. They are finding the best balance between gameplay and realism in all areas basically.

The grenade animations have already been sped up in light of the next update. They seem to be a lot more useful now. As far as the time it takes to detonate, they are using a 3 second fuze. In actuality, they originally started as a 5 second fuze- I've read that's what M67 grenades use.. but that felt a bit too long so we changed it to 3 seconds.

They do, just not very often and definitely not accurately. In fact I often find enemy bots trying to use the secondary fire on me but they don't let the grenade go. Messy. Personally I think getting bots to accurately use frags, incorporating the ballistics of throwing one, would be too complicated to implement. A simple toss of a few meters would satisfy me.
