Hello, I'm in charge of the sounds in Infiltration. I hope you've liked my work so far.
I'm in some trouble right now. I've never heard a FAMAS firing.
If anybody of you has got an authentic firing sound (single shots are prefered) please don't hesitate to send them to Buscholl@t-online.de

If you've got some sounds from which you think they're much better than the ones I've used for Inf, just send them too.

Thanks,
-Neo

I know I have some, I'll get them to you along with the Barrett and P90 sounds as soon as I find that G**D***ed ZIP disk. I think there is SAW firing on that disk too.

Please I must know this:

How the heck do you people know soooo much about guns???

They tell you all about it in the hospital. Then you go to self defence corses, to protect your country and body fluids.
We hate people that only searches the net for it, or attacks our way of thinking.

A lot of people probably were in some branch of the military too, i would think. Or some sort of Columbian drug cartel, like me. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Proven fact: being around people with a great knowledge of gunnery makes you smarter

When you grow up around guns, you learn whether you like it or not. From there its all a matter of keeping up, but I have to say some people around here display an amazing and thorough working knowledge of weaponry-a real plus for the game.

Yes, yes. I'll admit it. Ever since I got that first Colt M16 for my 5th birthday party I haven't been the same. After much begging and whining, my dad got me a brand new MP5 at the tender age of 8. Since then guns have dominated my life, and now at the age of 18, my collection of M2 .50 cal machine guns, Stinger anti-aircraft launchers, as well as a small collection of composite explosives has attracted the attention of government officials. At least, that's my excuse for knowing as much about guns as I do.

It IS great having a community with people who do know their stuff.. I know only so much, and can learn a great deal on the net, but it's quite another thing when someone has actual experience! One of my pet peeves are 'realistic' weapons that stretch the truth a bit either because the authors don't know, or they don't think the truth is good enough..

Repairman Jack:
Thanks, I'm sure that will help me.
I've already got a real Barret sound, but maybe yours is better. We'll see. Thanks again

I don't know why I know so much about guns...
It started with the game Rainbow Six. With all the weapon mods I learned little pieces. Then my interest in special units of the police and the military, I learned more.
Finally, for being a good sound engineer, I need to know a little bit about the stuff I create.

I broker firearms to US law enforcement agencies, before that I was an armourer in the US Army(Quartermaster Corps specifically) attached to the 82nd Airborne (DISCOM).

If we get a few more people with wings, this mod might end up as a flight simulator.

Does that mean that we are all unknowing test subjects in a secret government test to examine the effect of repeated dyeing?
