Failed to connect to UT2004

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Heya. I have been working on a cool Necris Jugg skin for few days now and its done. When I clicked the "Export character to Unreal" it pops up with the message, "failed to connect to UT2004" it does this half way through creating texture package. Any help?

Yes I have used Google but with no result exept this, but it won't work or Im just doing something wrong.

Okay!
I got it solved my self. You should replace "myskin" with you're skins name.

Make a new folder called tempUPT to you're C drive (c:\tempUPT) and put you're 2 .upt files into that folder (myskinHead.upt and smyskinBody.upt wich uPaint makes before poping up the error message)
I assume you know how to use dos(cmd). Go to you're UT2004/3 system directory(for me it is c:\Program Files\UT2004\System) and type ucc pkg import texture ..\Textures\myskin c:\tempUPT.

Now press enter, and you should see this:
Importing : myskinBody
Importing : myskinHead
Saving : ..\Textures\myskin.utx

Dadaa! Hope this helps you few who have the same problem.
