Forgive me guys, i'm a total newb to Infiltration and my damn 56k keeps me from playing onlnie anyways, but when I look around here and see people using terms.... I don't understand them.

I can barely remember playing INF way back when, and I actually forget how it is played..... could anyone help and old INF'er?

There seemed to be ones for the different match types, if there are multiple -_-, and i'd like a decrption of what they're like.

TDM = TeamDeathMatch
EAS = Enhanced Assault = new INF 2.9 Mission based gametype
SPC/Spec = Specialist = new INF 2.9 gamemode, basically the same like EAS, but only a specialist can accomplish the objectives
DTAS = Mutator for TDM which creates a round based mission oriented game

like these?

Even though you're stuck on dialup, still try to find a server to get on. INF is actually one game where you can compete with a higher ping. Just make sure you have all the additional stuff that might be in use (maps, camos, etc) before connecting to the server.

Its not so bad. I play at 28k. Though you do get some annoying lag. Im sure at 56k its a lot better. At 400 ping I usually get a little under a second lag when pulling the trigger and my actual shot being registered, though sometimes its worse.

Actually though, could someone give a good explanation of DTAS? Played it and liked it, though I couldn't tell exactly everything that was changed.

- it's round based -> no respawns & no sniperclasses
- one team is attacker, the other one defender, this cycles each round
- the spawnpoints are random - they change every round
- One of the defender guys spawns a flag/flare after ~10s, this flag/flare is the objective. Attackers have to get with 2 men into a radius of ~14m around the flag. If they can stay there for 10s they win the round. The Defenders can prevent this by putting 2 men of their team into the same radius.

DTAS rules!
