Thats just the basics... there's too much to list here!

BTW... It's true, I can set Q3:A to run @ 1024x748
with all levels set to highest and get an amazing ONE-HUNDRED AND SEVEN POINT FIFTY-SIX FRAMES PER SECOND!! HA HA HA HA HA!!! Ok, Im done...
But anyways... there's just one teensy little problem that has me PO'ed with this system... UNREAL TOURNAMENT WILL NOT RUN!!! ARRRGHH!! Is there any way to run UT in hardware mode on a GeForce2 based system?? Please help before I am forced to bash this system over the Hewlett Packard CEO's head! /infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

I wonder how much extra you payed just to have a Hewlett Packard logo on your case.

Next time buy the parts individually and if you can't put the thing together yourself, pay someone twenty bucks to put together for you, you'll save quite a bit of cash.

Hehe

I have it from a pretty secure source that HP has a policy against violent games and have a built-in module in the BIOS to prevent violent games from running.
Bummer.

MwaaaHAHHAAA (Just kidding)

Personally I have a Dell Dimension(TM)
Intel PIII 600
128 Mb SDRAM
32 Mb Nvidia M64 TNT2

With all details set to high and with 32 bit colordepth what kind of FPS should I expect from this setup?

Peace
C.

WRITE-OFF!!

Damn ReaLife (tm) kept from replying... I hate work!! Arrrgh! Anyway... the only reason I didn't go homebrew on this bad mutha of a PC is that if I did... I couldn't write off all $3,889.00 of it on my company... cuz they said they'd let me get a laptop and spend up to $4000 on it... but I already have a laptop... so I did what they told me and spent ALMOST 4 grand on a cpomputer. As long as I dont pay a dime, and they think I'm workin all the time... everything will be just fine... damn. That rhymes! /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Traitorous vermin, how DARE you soil your brand new system with an inferior sorry-excuse-for-code game like Q3A!? /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

FWIW, I was able to squeeze about 102 fps out of my Athlon 800 ES, 128 MB RAM, and overclocked Voodoo 3 2000 AGP (yeah that's right, a 2000) in 640x480. Still waiting on some cash so I can buy a better monitor to play in higher resolutions...

hehe

I'll be getting a brand new 700MHz CPU and a GF2 32MB, but I don't know wich mobo. Does the Asus P3C-E (whatever) support normal SDRAM? I'm not paying $500 for a stick of 128MB RDRAM (no matter how fast). But, I may go for an extra stick of 128 SDRAM /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

U think u´re stuck, my speks are, 200mhz, 32 megs of edoRam, no 3Dfx and a 1.2gb hd that is destroying itself, its down to 834 megs, and still going down.

There are only 2 kind of people in this world, those that wish to kill themselves, and those that wish to kill someone else !

Yeah....uhmm....in a small window with all settings turned to low, or off.
I cant have dynamic lighting, og destructable decos or anything. /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
And i can see that more and more of my win, options are disapering, because the HD is distroying the data.
Its just a matter of time, before there isent enough space to have UT installed.

Well, luckilly, I have a Voodoo 3 2k. I can run ut at 1024x768 with everything but skins on the highest detail. My only problem is, it doesn't know how to precache, so the first time I switch to a weapon, or do the primary or alt fire, it lags. Kinda sucks in the middle of a battle. Which reminds me. Will there ever be a weapon change option (ie on or off) for Unreal 1? I still play Unreal INF all the time, and I constantly die from switching to the mp5 i just ran over when I had my pistol aimed at a guys head. I know there are the priorities, but sorry, I don't stick the pistol up top /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

you can change your weapon priority in the INF menu, and in the options menu you can shut off weapons switching
