1) Description
==================================================
Almost 25 years after he was shown in Epic's Unreal Engine Technology demo videos, this previously unnamed warrior is playable in Unreal Tournament.
He includes team skins, talk textures, status dolls, and headshot support.
His animation set is based on Damien's from the PS2 version of UT, which is also where he gets his unofficial name from.
A bit of background on him can be found here: https://talonbrave.info/2017/12/03/a-closer-look-at-the-unreal-technology-demo.html
2) Requirements
==================================================
This pack requires Unreal Tournament version 436 (at minimum) and Psychic_313's Advanced Model Support, which is included with the pack.
I recommend something like XBots for the expanded bot selection menus.
3) Basic Installation
==================================================
Extract the files into your UT directory. U and INT files go into the System folder, UTX files go into the Textures folder.
4) Commands
==================================================
There are extra gestures you can use with the taunt command.
taunt challenge (can be bound in Advanced Model Support's options)
taunt winner (has to be bound using set input <key> taunt winner)
5) Server installation
==================================================
To use all of the models and their default UT skins, add the following lines to your UnrealTournament.ini file,
underneath the "[Engine.GameEngine]" heading:
ServerPackages=AdvancedModelSupport
ServerPackages=EpicWarrior
ServerPackages=EpicWarriorSkins
The alternative to all of this would be to use Valhalla Avatar.
6) Changelog
==================================================
1.0: Initial release
7) Known Issues
==================================================
1. As the model was not intended to use the PS2 skeletal animations, some animations cause parts of the model to clip. I reduced this as much as I could.
2. The gold team skin mostly grey with gold highlights. I could not get a yellow/gold skin to look good.
3. The eyes and mouth have visual issues when the mesh is set to be translucent or modulated (eg. JailBreak's execution screen, the speed effects from the Relic of Speed)
8) Credits and copyright
==================================================
The model, base skins, and talk texture were made by Epic Games. The exact artists are unknown, but James Green is probably one of them, as well as Steve Garofalo and/or John Mueller.
Advanced Model Support is by Psychic_313.
Big thanks to slade for providing the source files.
Thanks to Aspide for testing and providing an animation fix for the character select screen.
