I noticed over at Joystiq that they've highlighted a programmer job opening posted at Epic Games. In the job description (below) they suggest that the person hired will be working on Gears 3 as well as a new unnamed IP. Could it be a game in the universe featured in the "Samaritan" Unreal Engine trailer featured previously?
Would you like to write code that is used by thousands of developers in hundreds of games? Work with a team that consistently ships multi-million unit selling games? And be a part of creating something Epic? If you answered yes to any of those questions we would like to talk to you about joining our team, where everything we do is Epic.
Epic Games is looking for Gameplay Programmers to join the team currently working on Gears of War 3, as well as a new unannounced IP in development. Our Gameplay Programmers have an intrinsic understanding of what makes a game fun and the analytical mind to break that down into its constituent parts. They Experiment with game design and use rapid prototyping, yet have the engineering background to make strong architectural and algorithmic decisions. If you are a game designer trapped inside the body of an engineer, we'd like to hear from you.
